About the Shaksper Norwich kennel

Highlights

The "Shaksper" name is borrowed from the SHAKSPER internet list devoted to discussions about William Shakespeare and his plays. The list was started in 1990 and the name was exactly eight characters long because of the limitations of computer technology at the time.

Prior to his life being taken over by his dogs, Blair Kelly was an avid Shakespearean theater goer. He has seen all 37 of Shakespeare's plays, and when he worked in England he saw over 100 productions of the Bard's plays in his spare time.

Blair Kelly has been an agility judge since 2000, has judged in over half of the states in the US, and was a judge at the 2011 AKC Agility Invitational. Blair runs Norwich terriers and was the human-half of the team that earned the first Norwich MACH. Blair breeds Norwich terriers, is an AKC Breeder of Merit and Bred with H.E.A.R.T. Breeder, and is a fierce advocate of health testing. He lists his accomplishments with his dogs as follows: earning the first Norwich MACH, qualifying and participating at multiple AKC national agility events, and earning a three-point major out of the bred-by class. Blair is a retired applied research mathematician whose research interest is computational number theory.
