What that means is that either your dog does not have vWD or your dog has a yet unidentified form of vWD. The vWD tests that we have only works on about 9 breeds and we keep trying other breeds and lately haven't had much luck. We are now starting research on identifying additional mutations of this disease and will run all the dogs through this new test, when we can identify the gene and develop a new test. We do know there is a Type II vWD mutation and we are going to try to find it. This will take some time and I suggest you try back in 6 months or so to see if we have gotten anywhere. Thank you for participating in this research, we had hoped Norwich Terriers would work on one of our existing tests. Cheryl Hogue Research Coordinator VetGen Healthydog@VetGen.com www.VetGen.com
